What is Sky Watch?
Sky Watch is your astronomical alarm clock that will keep you informed about what's going on in the sky. SkyWatch started off with tracking the position of two satellites - MIR and the International Space Station and has been continually updated with new services to keep you updated on all important astronomy news events. MIR has been replaced by the Hubble Space telescope and the Starshine satellites. Notices are now sent out about eclipses and other astronomical events. I've also added meteor showers to SkyWatchIn order to enable you to plan a night of skygazing, I've have added to the SkyWatch subscriber service a weekly report of sunrise and sunset times AND moonrise and moonset times for the subscriber's location and recently started SkyTour to help familiarize subscribers with the constellations and the night sky.
The satellite predictions will be based on the SGP4 model and data released by NASA.
If you would like information on books about Astronomy or Relativity theory, please check out the SkyWatch Bookshelf which has book reviews.
You can also purchase a SkyWatch gift subscription or Christmas gift for a family member or friend who is interested in astronomy and receiving the latest astronomy news.
