Shots hurt and terrify little ones! Anyone who says they don't, has not been around little ones much, and/or has forgotten what it is to be a little one.
There are several things doctors and nurses can do to stop, or at least cut down on the pain. One method to make shots hurt less costs less than 50 cents a dose and takes only a couple of seconds, and the doctor may already have the method at his clinic and he or she may not even know it has recently been approved by the FDA and the AMA to use to lessen children's pain from shots. How many law suits against doctors have been started by unforgiving patients who first became angry and unforgiving, (subconsciously at least), as stuck and hurting children? Few people have Norman Rockwell feelings about their doctors any more, and the huge number of injections kids are forced to endure, is no doubt, a major reason.
Come on folks! It is time to realize children's pain and terror are real. Its the 21st century! No excuses! It is time to end unnecessary pain!
