The
Myth:
If your website is highly ranked on the search
engines,
you'll get all the sales you need and soon be
able to retire to some tropical island and sip
Margarittas all day!
The
Reality:
If you depend on search engines
for the majority of your traffic, you are fighting
a battle that you can NEVER win!
So
many people have been brainwashed to believe that
the search engines are the key to success on the
Internet that I need to tell you a story just
in case you have fallen under this spell also.
I
Know The Search Engines Can Only Send You Just
So Much Traffic, Because I Dominated Them For
Years!
One
of my online successes was 5
Star Shine. This website sells a very unique
paint protection system that keeps your car always
looking like it was just waxed. If you go to MSN.com,
and type in "car wax", you'll usually
see www.5starshine.com,
in the top 5 listings. It actually held #1 position
for "car wax" and other related terms
on Google and Yahoo for almost two years! Now
it comes in and out of the top of the search engines
because they all change so much.
But
guess what? After almost two years of absolutely
dominating all the search engines for many of
the relavent terms, the search engines could only
send me about 300 visitors per day at a maximum!
While this is good traffic, it's not enough traffic
to support me! In fact, if I depended solely on
the traffic from the search engines, I would have
had to layoff employees everytime just one of
them changed. And believe me, they change a lot!
A
good way to visualize what I'm talking about is
to imagine that your website is a mall. Now imagine
that the main doors to your mall are the search
engines. Sure, they are pretty big doors, but only
so many people can come in those big doors at a
time. What if instead of counting on just a few
big doors to get the people into your mall, you
had 1,000 or 2,000 or even 10,000 doors to get people
into your mall. Now your talking some real traffic
without limitations!
Over
the last 4 years, I've been getting more and more
traffic without the search engines so I don't
depend on them for my living anymore. In fact,
if you look at the chart below, you'll see that
one of my websites, 5
Star Shine, only gets 11.99% of its traffic
from Google, the largest search engine in the
world. I get over 85% of my traffic without the
search engines! I found out a long time ago, that
the search engines only give you most of your
traffic IF you let them. If you don't want the
search engines to control how much money you make,
you've got to get MOST of your traffic without
them!

a lot of people reading it uncomfortable. Why?

the winners and losers on the Internet. On this

simple set of instructions and, if you follow
them, your chances of becoming extremely prosperous
on the Internet are going to be magnified by a
factor of at least 1,000!
But
most of you are not going to follow these simple
instructions. I know that from my past experience.
And I even know the five main reasons that most
of you would give me for not following my proven
plan for success on the Internet. These are the
same dumb excuses that I've heard over and over

Dumb
Excuse #1
"I'm not
sure I want to invest any money in my
internet business right now."
Yes,
it's sad to say but I hear this one from
time to time. Let me be very frank with
you. If you're willing to invest in your
own education, then you aren't ready to
have your own business. The knowledge
that I've accumulated has enabled for
my businesses to make millions. Learning
is priceless!
Dumb
Excuse #2
"I don't have enough time to learn
how to promote my website."
The
time investment needed to see results is
about 90 days although you'll see improvement
immediately. Yep, just 90 days of working
a few hours each day is going to give you
a lot more visitors that you can sell! In
fact, if your product sells already, then
you are guaranteed success because you'll
be getting a lot more targeted traffic and
more traffic means more money when it's

Now
here are the three dumb excuses that really
make me angry. They make my blood boil.
They infuriate me! And these excuses are
only given by people who have no understanding
whatsoever of what it is takes to achieve
success in anything. They just haven't figured
it out yet.

Excuse #3
"I'm going
to wait to get your book until...
(insert favorite excuse here).
These
people are just procrastinators plain and
simple. They will think of every excuse
in the world why they just can't make a
decision and get started right away. I get
emails from these people all the time telling
me that they intend to get my book just
as soon as Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Saturn
come into perfect alignment or some other
nonsense. If a person isn't willing to take
s then I just can't help them either
because they just don't get it and probably
never will. They are literally losing money
every day they delay!
Dumb
Excuse #4
"I've
seen your results for your own website and
you certainly get most of your traffic without
the search engines, but I sell lingerie
and your methods probably won't work for
me."
These
people are the worst, because they've seen
the graph of my traffic, but they still
think that somehow it will only work for
5 Star Shine or something! My techniques
for getting big traffic will work for ANY
website. In fact, I've never seen it fail
to work yet!
Dumb
Excuse #5
"My
webmaster told me that he's promoting my
site to 7,000 different search engines this
week and that very soon my site will be
at the top of the search engines and getting
millions of hits!"
If
your webmaster told you something like this...then
to put it as nicely as I can, they don't
have your best interests in mind. Actually,
forget being nice: if they told you this
then they are either completely ignorant
of reality or they just are ripping you
off! These are the people that just take
your money and provide worthless services
that don't do ANYTHING for you. The worst
part is that they KNOW they don't work,
but they take your money anyway!
I
Want To Strangle Them!
First,
most webmasters don't know how to successfully
market websites. If they did, then their
website would be number one on the search
engines for their most important terms.
Almost 99% of the time, I find that webmasters
do not have high search engine listings
or large traffic for their own websites.
Right
now you are probably paying a webmaster
to take care of promoting your website (which
is a BIG mistake) so of course they want
you to continue to pay them whether what
they do works or not!
Think
about it! If your webmaster was REALLY any
good at marketing your website, why aren't
you already at the top of the search engines
for your most important keywords?
