I began reading your e-book the minute I downloaded it. The whole time I was reading, I kept telling myself how I wished I had this information earlier...many financial disasters earlier! I have never been financial savvy; however, your e-book presents advice in such a simple, effective manner that even I can understand it easily. I have incorporated many aspects of the e-book already and see room for great improvement in our financial future. Also, your bill-paying method you outline in your e-book is proving to be a huge time-saver for me. Everything is organized in a three-ring binder and I know what bills are due at a quick glance. I'm sure this method alone will save me a lot of late-payment fees. Also, your forms are very straight-forward and are helping me get a handle on what we truly owe rather than a "guess"timate.

I worked with our Town's governmental budget prepared by CPA's for 43 years, but until I began to read your ebook I never realized the fundamental elements involved in the preparation and utilization of a budget in everyday living. I was lucky enough to have a salary that covered my expenses, mortgages, car notes, etc. Today- it's a different situation. We are now retired living on a very fixed retirement income. I'm 67 years old and 3 years ago when I retired we undertook a substantial mortgage on a country "place" and 51 acres that borders on a local scenic river - a dream place for us. However, the additional mortgage has cramped our budget, such as it was. Our health has become a major factor to be addressed-diabetes, heart condition for my husband and I have Parkinson's. We also have our 7 yr old grandson living with us. We desperately need to "live within our means" and even though I have not completed your book I have been working on my budget preparation and expenditures starting with Jan 2005. I can see that your forms included to prepare the necessary information for the complete picture of what we have and what we can accomplish with our resources are designed to make the job easier than I expected. Your "user friendly" instructions to guide me through each step and your many references to other links offering valuable information will also make this the "easy way". Thrown at you by page 8 are words so strong that you want to cut and run ( discipline, organization, CHANGE); but then comes the line of saving grace: "I believe that anyone that gets up and goes to work everyday, or takes care of a home and family, already has the discipline they need, they just have to learn how to apply it". Very sweet words to the ears of the money-battered and frail.

I read the book and it was very good and useful. It has taught me a few things and I know others could benefit reading it. I recommend every one to read it. I like the way it's layed out and It one you can go back to for reference. I plan for my boys to read it as one of their school books.
