Spyware is designed to track and record your computer activities, including:

  • Emails you send to friends, co-workers and family.
  • Credit card purchases/bank account access.
  • Instant messenger chat.
  • Every picture you view.
  • Usernames and passwords.
  • Every keystroke you type.
  • All sites you visit.

If you conduct any of the following activity on the web - you have Spyware on your PC:

  • Use music download sites like KaZaA, GrokSter, iMesh and others.
  • Visit adult sites (or others who use your PC to visit adult sites)
  • Download free screensavers
  • Download freeware or shareware applications
  • Spend more than four hours online each week
  • Receive a lot of SPAM

In some instances, your employer, spouse or even a complete stranger may have installed a key-logger program (a type of Spyware) on your PC and may be secretly recording everything you do.
